No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars Recipe

These No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars are a delightful treat that resembles a chocolatey granola bar. With layers of oats and rich chocolate topped with a drizzle of more chocolate, this sweet treat is perfect for any season. Best of all, there's no need to turn on the oven, making it an ideal dessert for summer or any time you crave a delicious, easy-to-make treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 cups of quick-cooking oats
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan

  1. Line a 9x9-inch square pan with parchment paper for easy removal of the bars.

Step 2: Make the Oat Mixture

  1. In a large pot over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Stir in the quick-cooking oats and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until well combined.
  4. Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Set aside the remaining oat mixture for the top layer.

Step 3: Prepare the Chocolate Mixture

  1. In a small, heavy saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together, stirring frequently until smooth.
  2. Pour the chocolate mixture evenly over the oat layer in the pan.

Step 4: Assemble the Bars

  1. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer, pressing it gently into the chocolate.
  2. Cover the pan and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or overnight until firm.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Once set, remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into bars and enjoy!

  • Storage: Keep the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
