Ingredients
  

Base:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Mix-Ins 10 cups total:
  • 2 cups oats
  • 8 cups assorted add-ins

Equipment

  • mixing bowls
  • Mixer
  • baking sheets

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and sugars
  2. Add eggs and vanilla
  3. Combine dry ingredients
  4. Stir in 10 cups mix-ins
  5. Fold wet into dry
  6. Scoop onto baking sheet
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes
  8. Cool and enjoy

Notes

Toast nuts or coconut for deeper flavor
Do not overmix
Slightly underbake for chewiness
Freeze dough for later baking
