Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups flour
  • ⅔ cup powdered sugar

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Rolling pin or sharp knife (depending on method)
  • Cookie cutters (optional)

Method
 

  1. Beat butter + sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla + salt if using.
  2. Mix in flour until combined.
  3. Shape, chill, slice or cut. Bake 12-15 mins at 350°F.

Notes

Try with zest or chocolate drizzle.
Chill dough well for clean slicing.
