A fast, no-bake chocolate–butterscotch cereal bar with perfect snap and crunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional

Equipment

  • 8×8 pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • spatula

Method
 

  1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth; stir in vanilla.
  4. Add crispy rice cereal and fold gently to coat.
  5. Press mixture firmly into prepared pan.
  6. Refrigerate 45–60 minutes until fully set.
  7. Slice and enjoy; store chilled.
