  • 1 pound ground beef 80–90% lean
  • 2 cans 14.75 oz each creamed corn
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper optional

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch glass baking dish, aluminum foil

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.
  2. Crumble raw ground beef evenly into the dish. Season with salt and optional pepper.
  3. Stir creamed corn and sour cream together, then pour evenly over the beef.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top.
  5. Cover tightly with foil and bake 30 minutes.
  6. Uncover and bake 15–20 minutes more until bubbling and cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  7. Confirm beef is fully cooked. Rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

No need to brown the beef first. Use a glass dish for best results. Ensure the center reaches a safe temperature (160°F). Excellent with a green salad, green beans, or over noodles/rice. Assemble ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking. Leftovers reheat well.
