Ingredients

  • 1 lb king crab legs
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 –2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives or parsley
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Equipment

  • Oven-safe pan or baking sheet, kitchen shears

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Split crab legs lengthwise if not already scored so the meat is visible.
  2. Place crab legs in an oven-safe pan.
  3. Microwave butter, garlic, and Creole seasoning for about 1 minute until melted. Stir in lemon juice.
  4. Brush the sauce all over the crab legs, reserving excess for serving.
  5. Bake 5 minutes or until heated through.
  6. Sprinkle with chives or parsley and serve immediately with remaining sauce and lemon wedges.

Notes

Crab is pre-cooked—do not overbake. Splitting the shells improves flavor and ease of eating. Adjust Creole seasoning to taste. Excellent with simple vegetable sides and crusty bread. Messy in the best way—provide plenty of napkins.
