- Pat the pork chops dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the pork chops for 4–5 minutes without moving them.
- Flip the pork chops.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over each chop.
- Drizzle the soy sauce around the skillet.
- Spoon the glaze over the pork chops while cooking for another 4–5 minutes.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Rest the pork chops for 3 minutes.
- Spoon the remaining glaze over the top and serve immediately.
Notes
Thick-cut pork chops produce the juiciest results.
Do not overcook.
Let the pork rest before serving.
Baste often for a glossy caramelized glaze.
Excellent served with mashed potatoes or rice.
