Brown Sugar Pork Chops with Sticky Glaze

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops 1-inch thick
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish

Method

  1. Pat chops dry; rub with sugar-spice mix.
  2. Heat oil; sear chops 3-4 min/side until golden. Remove.
  3. Melt butter; sauté garlic 30 sec. Add broth, syrup, vinegar, flakes; simmer 2 min.
  4. Return chops; glaze 1 min. Rest 5 min before serving.

Notes

Use thick-cut boneless chops if you prefer (reduce cooking time by 1 minute per side).
Double the glaze for extra sauciness—your taste buds will thank you!
Let chops rest before slicing to keep them juicy and tender.
