Ingredients
  

  • 2 fresh lemons sliced
  • 1- inch piece fresh ginger root sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric or a 1-inch fresh turmeric root, sliced
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper or cayenne pepper optional, for enhanced absorption
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 –2 teaspoons honey optional, for sweetness

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Wash the lemons and ginger thoroughly.
  • Slice the lemons and ginger into thin slices for better flavor infusion.

Step 2: Boil the Water

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
  • Once boiling, turn off the heat.

Step 3: Add the Ingredients

  • Add sliced lemons, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper (if using) to the hot water.
  • Stir well and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse fully.

Step 4: Strain and Serve

  • Strain the drink using a fine mesh strainer to remove the solid pieces.
  • Serve warm or allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey for a hint of natural sweetness if desired.

Notes

  • Drink twice daily for best results.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
