- 2 fresh lemons sliced
- 1- inch piece fresh ginger root sliced
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric or a 1-inch fresh turmeric root, sliced
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper or cayenne pepper optional, for enhanced absorption
- 4 cups water
- 1 –2 teaspoons honey optional, for sweetness

Add sliced lemons, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper (if using) to the hot water.
Stir well and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse fully.
Step 4: Strain and Serve
Strain the drink using a fine mesh strainer to remove the solid pieces.
Serve warm or allow to cool to room temperature.
Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey for a hint of natural sweetness if desired.
