Method
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Place butter in an 8x8-inch baking dish and melt in oven (~3 minutes).
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Add buttermilk; stir gently until just combined. Lumps are okay.
- Pour batter over melted butter in baking dish.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Let cool 2 minutes, slice, and serve with extra butter or honey.

Optional: Add garlic powder and shredded cheddar for savory biscuits.
