Butter Toffee Pretzels

Sweet, crunchy, buttery pretzels coated in homemade toffee — the perfect no-bake snack for parties, gifting, or munching straight from the bowl.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups pretzel twists or sticks
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
Optional: melted chocolate for drizzling

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • saucepan
  • spatula

Method
 

  1. Spread pretzels on a lined baking sheet.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan; add brown sugar.
  3. Bring to a boil; cook 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and baking soda.
  5. Pour toffee over pretzels and toss to coat.
  6. Cool 1 hour until hardened.
  7. Break into clusters; drizzle with chocolate if desired.

Notes

For richer flavor, use dark brown sugar.
Add flaky sea salt for a gourmet sweet-salty finish.
Pretzels stay fresh up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
To gift: bag in clear cellophane with ribbon.
