Ingredients

  • 16 oz mini pretzel twists
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup salted butter sliced into pats
  • 5 tablespoons light corn syrup

Equipment

  • Large baking sheet, parchment or silicone mat, medium saucepan

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.
  2. Spread pretzels in an even layer on the sheet.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Stir constantly until smooth and bubbling, about 3–4 minutes.
  4. Pour the hot toffee over the pretzels and toss gently with a spatula to coat.
  5. Bake 8–10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Cool completely on the baking sheet until the coating hardens. Break apart clusters and store in an airtight container.

Notes

No candy thermometer needed. Cool completely for the coating to harden properly. Highly addictive—consider a double batch for gatherings. Store airtight to maintain crunch.
