Caramel Pretzel Crack Bars

Sweet, salty, crunchy no-bake bars layered with buttery caramel and smooth chocolate — the perfect party treat or quick dessert fix.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels about 4 cups whole
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • cups milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips optional

Equipment

  • 9x13 pan
  • Parchment paper
  • saucepan
  • offset spatula,
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment.
  2. Crush pretzels and spread evenly in the pan.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar. Boil gently 2–3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour caramel over pretzels and spread.
  6. Sprinkle milk chocolate chips on top; let soften, then spread smooth.
  7. Drizzle melted white chocolate if desired.
  8. Chill 2–3 hours until firm.
  9. Lift from pan, cut into pieces, and store airtight.
