Golden-brown Cheesy Taco Sticks made with seasoned ground beef, melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese wrapped inside soft pizza dough. The sticks are brushed with garlic butter and dried parsley, baked until crisp and golden, and served warm with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for dipping.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup water
  • Assembling:
  • 1 can 13.8 oz refrigerated pizza dough
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Topping:
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • Optional for Serving:
  • Salsa sour cream, guacamole

Equipment

  • Skillet, baking sheet, parchment paper, pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a skillet; cook onion 2–3 minutes, add garlic 30 seconds. Add beef and brown; drain fat.
  2. Stir in spices and water; simmer 2–3 minutes until thick. Cool slightly.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Roll dough into a rectangle and cut into 10 strips.
  4. Spoon filling down the center of each strip; top with cheeses. Fold and pinch edges to seal. Place seam-side down.
  5. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and parsley.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden. Cool slightly and serve warm with dips.

Notes

Drain beef well. Do not overfill. Pinch seals tightly and place seam-side down. Best served warm. Excellent with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Can be assembled ahead or frozen unbaked. Leftovers reheat well in the oven or air fryer.
