A quick, delicious stir fry that’s perfect over rice, noodles, or on its own.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive or sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 6 cups cabbage sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper optional
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce optional
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Green onions sesame seeds (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Mixing bowl (for sauce)

Method
 

  1. Brown beef, drain. Add ginger, garlic.
  2. Stir-fry onion, bell pepper.
  3. Add cabbage, cook until tender-crisp.
  4. Pour sauce, cook 2-3 mins. Drizzle sesame oil. Garnish + serve.

Notes

Great with rice or noodles.
Add heat with chili flakes or sriracha.
