Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Butter for cooking
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Maple syrup for serving

Equipment

  • Nonstick skillet, shallow bowl

Method

  1. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 thick cubes; set icing aside.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla in a shallow bowl.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat with a little butter.
  4. Dip cubes briefly in the egg mixture (a few seconds per side).
  5. Cook in batches until golden on all sides, about 2 minutes per side.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar; drizzle with reserved icing and warm maple syrup. Serve warm.

Notes

Dip briefly so the cubes stay intact. Cook in batches for best browning. Serve immediately for crispy edges and soft centers. Excellent for brunch or dessert. Highly addictive.
