Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line pan bottom with parchment paper (no greasing).
- Beat egg whites with salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff, glossy peaks form.
- Sift flour over the egg whites and gently fold in with vanilla.
- Pour into pan, smooth top, and bake 25–30 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool completely in pan before removing.
- Top with whipped cream and fresh fruit before serving.
Notes
Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days. Best served fresh.
