Copycat Texas Roadhouse Rolls

Soft, lightly sweet, melt-in-your-mouth dinner rolls just like the restaurant favorite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm milk 110°F
  • tsp active dry yeast
  • cup granulated sugar
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup melted butter for brushing
  • Optional: 1 tsp cinnamon

Equipment

  • Measuring tools
  • - 9x13 baking dish
  • pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Bloom yeast in warm milk with sugar.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, salt; add yeast, egg, butter.
  3. Knead until smooth.
  4. Rise until doubled.
  5. Shape into rolls and rise again.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes.
  7. Brush with butter and serve warm.

Notes

Milk should be warm, not hot, to protect yeast.
Dough should be soft and slightly sticky for fluffy rolls.
Rolls freeze well once baked and cooled.
Brush with butter immediately after baking for signature softness.
