Perfectly crispy, golden bacon with a surprising flour hack that delivers flat, crunchy strips every time.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 –12 slices of bacon
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour or substitute
  • Parchment paper

Equipment

  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet
  • Shallow dish (for dredging)
  • Beeswax wrap or extra parchment
  • Paper towels
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Dredge bacon in flour and shake off excess.
  2. Place on a parchment-lined tray and chill overnight.
  3. Bake at 400°F for 5 minutes, flip, then bake 5–7 minutes more until crisp.
  4. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

Notes

For gluten-free bacon, use rice flour or cornstarch.
Overnight chilling helps the flour adhere better.
For smokier flavor, sprinkle bacon with a touch of paprika before flouring.
