Crispy Stuffed Potato Cakes with Cheesy Ground Beef

Golden crispy potato cakes stuffed with seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese. An easy comfort food dinner that's perfect for busy weeknights or family meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 large potatoes peeled and grated
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method
 

  1. Grate and squeeze the potatoes dry.
  2. Cook beef, onion, and garlic until browned.
  3. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir cheddar cheese into the beef mixture.
  5. Form potato patties around the filling.
  6. Fry in butter and oil for 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
  7. Drain briefly on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with sour cream if desired.

Notes

Dry potatoes thoroughly for maximum crispiness.
Cook in batches for even browning.
