Crockpot Christmas Crack

Sweet, salty, crunchy, and festive — the easiest holiday treat you’ll ever make!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks butter
  • 1 14 oz bag mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 3 cups pretzels broken
  • 1 cup salted peanuts optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • Optional: ½ cup candy canes ½ cup M&Ms, sprinkles, white chocolate drizzle

Equipment

  • 6-quart slow cooker
  • spatula
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet

Method
 

  1. Grease crockpot with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Add butter, marshmallows, and peanut butter. Cook on LOW 1–1.5 hrs, stirring every 20 mins.
  3. Stir in cereal, pretzels, nuts, vanilla, and salt. Mix gently.
  4. Add candy canes/M&Ms (off heat).
  5. Spread onto parchment-lined tray, press lightly, and chill 1–2 hrs.
  6. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

Store in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
Freeze up to 3 months.
Add festive toppings after cooking to preserve color & crunch.
