Crunchy Tuna Sandwich with Potato Chips

A creamy, nostalgic tuna sandwich upgraded with a salty, crunchy potato chip layer for the ultimate texture contrast.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 5 oz can tuna, drained
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon diced dill pickle
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill or ½ tsp dried
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Pinch of salt optional
  • 2 slices bread
  • 4 –6 kettle-cooked potato chips

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Fork
  • knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Flake drained tuna in a bowl.
  2. Stir in mayo, pickle, dill, and pepper.
  3. Spread tuna on bread.
  4. Layer chips on top of tuna.
  5. Close sandwich, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

Drain tuna extremely well to prevent sogginess.
Add chips only at serving time for maximum crunch.
Salt & vinegar chips give the best flavor balance.
