Easy 7-Layer Taco Dip

Seven layers of Tex-Mex goodness—beans, crema, salsa, avocado, cheese, and all your favorite toppings!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1 oz packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 16 oz can refried beans
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 16 oz container sour cream
  • 1 ripe avocado mashed or diced
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • Optional: black olives green onions, tomatoes, jalapeños

Equipment

  • 9×13″ baking dish or large shallow platter
  • Medium and large mixing bowls
  • Spatula or spoon for spreading

Method
 

  1. Mix beans with half seasoning; spread in dish.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sour cream, remaining seasoning; spread.
  3. Layer salsa, then avocado.
  4. Top with cheese and optional toppings.
  5. Chill 30 min; serve with chips.

Notes

Stir in black beans or cooked meat for extra protein.
Substitute Greek yogurt for a tangy twist.
Bake at 350°F for 10 min if you prefer it warm and melty.
