Ingredients

Oil for frying

powdered sugar

Instructions
Make dough by blending flour, salt, baking powder, and shortening. Add milk.
Cook apples with sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until soft. Thicken with cornstarch.
Roll dough, fill with apples, and seal edges.
Fry in oil until golden brown.
Glaze with powdered sugar mixture.
Notes
– Best served warm.
– Can be stored and reheated.
– Substitute apples with peaches, pears, or berries.
