A savory, loaded baked loaf stuffed with seasoned beef, bacon, pickles, cheese, and classic condiments—perfect for parties, potlucks, and comfort-food cravings.

Ingredients
  

Filling:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices bacon cooked
  • 2 –3 dill pickles chopped
  • 4 –6 slices American cheese
Dough:
  • 1 sheet French bread dough
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
Topping:
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds optional

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • pastry brush
  • Serrated knife

Method
 

  1. Brown beef with onion; season and drain.
  2. Roll dough into rectangle.
  3. Spread ketchup and mustard.
  4. Layer beef, bacon, pickles, and cheese.
  5. Roll, seal, egg wash, and bake at 350°F for 20–25 minutes.
  6. Rest, slice, and serve warm.
