- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
 - In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla.
 - Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth for filling.
 - Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined; don’t overmix.
 - Fill muffin liners halfway with batter, add cream cheese filling, then top with remaining batter.
 - Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar (optional) and bake 18-22 minutes until golden.
 - Cool in pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Drizzle with melted vanilla cream or white chocolate if desired.
