Homemade Fruit Jam

A quick, customizable jam made with fresh fruit and simple ingredients — perfect for spreading, pairing, or gifting.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fruit about 5 cups, chopped
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Potato masher or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing spoon or spatula
  • 2 small jars (clean and sterilized if storing long-term)

Method
 

  1. Combine fruit, sugar, lemon juice in saucepan.
  2. Mash fruit, cook 15–20 min until thick.
  3. Test on chilled plate for doneness.
  4. Pour into jars, cool, seal, and refrigerate.

Notes

Adjust sugar to taste.
Try mixed fruit blends.
For shelf-stable jam, process in water bath 10 min.
