Irresistible Soft Dinner Rolls

Fluffy, golden, and perfect every time – these rolls are the ultimate comfort side!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • cups warm milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
For brushing:
  • 1 egg white + 2 tbsp water egg wash
  • 2 tbsp melted butter after baking

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls (large and medium)
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk or wooden spoon
  • Stand mixer with dough hook (optional but helpful!)
  • 9×13-inch baking pan
  • Plastic wrap or clean kitchen towel
  • pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar. Let it foam (5–10 mins).
  2. Add oil and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Combine flour and salt, then mix into wet ingredients to form dough.
  4. Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 mins).
  5. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise (1–1.5 hrs).
  6. Punch down, shape into 12–16 balls.
  7. Arrange in 9x13 pan, cover, and rise again (30–45 mins).
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush with egg wash.
  9. Bake 20–25 mins until golden.
  10. Brush with melted butter. Cool slightly, then serve warm.
