Mississippi Comeback Sauce

Creamy, tangy, and with just the right kick, this iconic Mississippi sauce is so good, it’ll make you come back for more!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper optional

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Silicone spatula (optional for scraping)
  • Airtight jar or container (for storage)

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne; whisk to combine.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld.
  4. Serve as a dip, spread, or dressing.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
For a thinner sauce, add a splash of buttermilk or milk.
Adjust spice levels to taste.
