- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease baking pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add milk gradually; mix until dough forms.
- Knead lightly 6–8 times; divide into 12 balls.
- Arrange in pan and bake 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Brush with melted butter and serve warm.
Notes
Keep butter very cold for the fluffiest texture.
Buttermilk works beautifully for extra-soft rolls.
Don’t over-knead — stop as soon as the dough comes together.
Rolls touching each other bake softer; spaced rolls bake crisper.
