- 1 box cake mix yellow, chocolate, or butter pecan
- 1 stick ½ cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chopped nuts pecans or walnuts, optional
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1 16 oz box powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until combined. Fold in nuts if using.
Spread batter evenly into the pan.
In another bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 egg until smooth. Pour over cake batter.
Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely before slicing.
