Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles wide or medium
  • 1 cup 2 sticks salted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced (or 1½ teaspoons garlic powder)
  • cups grated Parmesan cheese divided

Equipment

  • 9x13-inch metal baking pan, large pot

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch metal baking pan.
  2. Cook egg noodles in salted water until just al dente; drain well.
  3. Melt butter and stir in minced garlic or garlic powder.
  4. Toss drained noodles with the garlicky butter until coated.
  5. Add 1 cup Parmesan and toss again.
  6. Spread noodles in the prepared pan and sprinkle remaining ½ cup Parmesan on top.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes until cheese is melted and lightly golden. Optional: broil 1–2 minutes for deeper color.
  8. Rest 5 minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

Cook noodles only to al dente. Freshly grated Parmesan gives the best melt and crust. Watch closely if broiling. Leftovers reheat well in the oven. Very forgiving and easy to customize.
