Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Set up three bowls: flour; beaten eggs; and Panko mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pat asparagus completely dry.
- Dredge each spear in flour, then egg, then the Parmesan-Panko mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet and spray lightly with olive oil.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until the coating is deeply golden and crispy.
- Cool 2 minutes and serve warm with ranch, marinara, or on their own.
Notes
Dry the asparagus thoroughly for best crispness. Press the coating on firmly. Bake in a single layer. Panko gives superior crunch. Best served fresh, but leftovers reheat well in the oven or air fryer. Easily doubled. Excellent as a side or appetizer.
