Ingredients
  

  • - 1 box yellow cake mix
  • - 3 large eggs
  • - 1 can 12 oz evaporated milk
  • - ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • - 1 cup light corn syrup
  • - 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • - 1½ cups chopped pecans
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • - Whole pecans optional garnish
  • - Caramel sauce optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk eggs, evaporated milk, melted butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in chopped pecans.
  4. Pour pecan mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top without stirring.
  5. Bake 50-60 minutes until golden brown and set in the middle.
  6. Cool slightly. Garnish with whole pecans and caramel sauce if desired. Serve warm.
