Pineapple Cream Cheese Ball

Easy Pineapple Cream Cheese Ball with sweet crushed pineapple, tangy cream cheese, green onion, optional ham, and a crunchy pecan coating. Make-ahead friendly and always the first empty plate at the party.

Ingredients
  

  • packages 12 oz total light cream cheese, softened
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple drained very well
  • 2 –3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons green onion finely chopped
  • ½ cup cooked ham finely diced (optional)
  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped (for coating)

Method
 

  1. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Mix in well-drained pineapple, powdered sugar, green onion, and ham (if using) until combined.
  3. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight until firm.
  4. Shape into a ball (wet hands lightly if sticky).
  5. Roll in finely chopped pecans until fully coated.
  6. Wrap and refrigerate until serving. Serve cold with crackers, pretzels, or apple slices.

Notes

Drain the pineapple extremely well. Chill thoroughly before shaping. Optional ham is highly recommended. Make a day ahead for best flavor and easiest handling. Highly addictive.
