Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place butter in an 8x8 dish and melt in the oven.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Pour batter over melted butter (do not stir).
- Spoon pie filling evenly over the batter (still don’t stir!).
- Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and serve warm — optional: top with vanilla ice cream.
