Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Bite-sized sweet potatoes roasted with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter for a perfectly caramelized, cozy side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 sweet potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground ginger
  • Sea salt to taste

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper or oil spray
  • spatula

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line or grease baking sheet.
  2. Peel and cube sweet potatoes.
  3. Toss with olive oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and sea salt.
  4. Spread on baking sheet. Dot with butter.
  5. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Adjust seasoning and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use less sugar or skip for a more savory version
  • Add cayenne or smoked paprika for heat
  • Great with roasted chicken, steak, or holiday meals
