Method
- Line the bottom of the slow cooker with turkey bacon.
- Crumble ground beef over bacon.
- Add onion and garlic.
- Pour barbecue sauce over top — do not stir.
- Sprinkle with smoked paprika and pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW 6–8 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
- Drain excess fat, stir gently, and finish with vinegar if desired.
- Serve hot.
Notes
Do not stir until cooking is finished
Drain fat at the end for best texture
Use classic BBQ sauce, not honey-based
Cream cheese can be added at the end for extra richness
Freezes well for up to 3 months
