Slow-Cook Turkey Bacon & Beef Delights

A rich, smoky, sweet slow-cooker comfort dish made with turkey bacon, ground beef, and barbecue sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb turkey bacon chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional: 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • knife
  • Cutting board
  • measuring cups

Method
 

  1. Line the bottom of the slow cooker with turkey bacon.
  2. Crumble ground beef over bacon.
  3. Add onion and garlic.
  4. Pour barbecue sauce over top — do not stir.
  5. Sprinkle with smoked paprika and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW 6–8 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
  7. Drain excess fat, stir gently, and finish with vinegar if desired.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

Do not stir until cooking is finished
Drain fat at the end for best texture
Use classic BBQ sauce, not honey-based
Cream cheese can be added at the end for extra richness
Freezes well for up to 3 months
