A creamy, ranch-seasoned shredded chicken made in the slow cooker with just three ingredients. Add bacon for an irresistibly savory comfort-food classic.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning
  • ½ cup cooked bacon crumbled (optional)

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Forks or hand mixer
  • spoon

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in slow cooker.
  2. Top with cream cheese and ranch seasoning. Do not stir.
  3. Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
  4. Shred chicken and stir until creamy.
  5. Stir in bacon and serve warm.

Notes

Full-fat cream cheese gives best texture
Sauce thickens as it rests
Add broth or milk if sauce becomes too thick
Freezes well for up to 3 months
