Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Apple Butter

Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Apple Butter – Easy, Healthy & Delicious

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lbs apples peeled, cored, chopped
  • 1 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional Add-ins: pinch nutmeg cloves, or splash lemon juice

Equipment

  • Slow cooker (5–6 quart works best)
  • Knife & cutting board
  • Peeler & corer
  • Potato masher or immersion blender
  • Airtight jars or containers for storage

Method
 

  1. Add apples, cider, cinnamon, and vanilla to slow cooker.
  2. Cook on LOW 8–10 hrs (or HIGH 5–6 hrs). Stir occasionally.
  3. Mash with potato masher or blend smooth.
  4. If too watery, uncover and cook 1–2 hrs more.
  5. Store in jars: fridge (3 weeks), freezer (6 months), or can for shelf-stable.

Notes

Mix apple varieties for best flavor.
Avoid Granny Smith if making no-sugar version.
Use as spread, glaze, or sweetener in recipes.
