Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Taco Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 16 oz Velveeta, cubed
  • 1 16 oz jar salsa
  • 1 jalapeño minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Equipment

  • Large nonstick skillet
  • 3 to 4-quart slow cooker
  • Stirring spoon or spatula

Method
 

  1. Brown and crumble beef in a skillet; drain grease.
  2. Transfer to slow cooker. Add cream cheese, Velveeta, salsa, jalapeño, and seasoning.
  3. Cook on low 2-3 hours (or high 1-1.5 hours), stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir well, serve warm with chips or veggies.

Notes

For extra heat, use hot salsa or more jalapeños.
Swap beef for ground turkey or chicken if preferred.
