- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and ¼ cup onion soup. Form into 4–6 oval patties.
- Brown patties in butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium. Sprinkle in flour and whisk for 1 minute.
- Slowly add remaining soup and broth, scraping up browned bits. Add Worcestershire sauce.
- Return patties to the skillet. Cover and simmer 15–20 minutes, flipping once.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes or noodles and plenty of gravy.

- Add mushrooms for more depth.
