Texas toast with cheese

  • 4 tranches of Texas toast or thick white bread
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a combination)
  • 2 t of melt unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced (optional)

Get the oven to 205°F (400°F).

Put the slices of bread on the baking sheet.

Melt the butter and mix it with the minced garlic in a small bowl (if using).

Spread the mixture on the bread slices evenly on both sides.

Spread the grated cheese on each slice in an even way.

Bake in an oven that has already been heated for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese has melted.

Prepare hot.
