Easy Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak – A Comfort Food Classic with Minimal Effort

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup onion chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch optional

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Slow cooker
  • Skillet (optional for browning)
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method
 

  1. Mix patty ingredients, form patties.
  2. Brown patties (optional).
  3. Layer onions + patties in slow cooker. Pour over gravy mix. Add mushrooms.
  4. Cook low 4-5 hrs or high 2-3 hrs.
  5. Stir in slurry to thicken, if using.
  6. Serve hot with parsley.

Notes

Great with mashed potatoes or rice.
Try balsamic or herbs for extra flavor.
