Ingredients

  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 8 oz lean ground beef
  • ¼ cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • ¼ cup matchstick carrots
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce for cooking
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • For the Sauce:
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

Equipment

  • Large pot, colander, large skillet or wok, wooden spoon, small bowl

Method

  1. il spaghetti until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat; drain excess grease.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic, 1 tbsp soy sauce, celery, red onion, carrots, salt, and sugar. Sauté until vegetables begin to soften.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti and toss to combine.
  5. Mix sesame oil, rice cooking wine, and remaining 1 tbsp soy sauce in a small bowl. Pour over the noodle mixture.
  6. Stir well to coat and simmer 1 minute. Serve warm.

Notes

Cook pasta just to al dente. Use toasted sesame oil for best flavor. Have sauce ready before stir-frying. Adjust soy sauce to taste. Best served immediately.
