Homemade Coffee Ice Cream

A creamy, rich ice cream with bold espresso flavor, perfect for coffee lovers. Easy to make and better than anything from the store

Ingredients
  

  • - 2 cups heavy cream
  • - 1 cup whole milk
  • - ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • - 2 tbsp instant coffee or espresso powder
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • saucepan
  • whisk
  • - Ice cream maker
  • mixing bowl
  • - Freezer-safe container

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cream, milk, sugar, and coffee powder. Stir and heat until sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Cool to room temp. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Pour chilled mixture into ice cream maker. Churn for 20–30 minutes.
  5. Transfer to a container and freeze for 4–6 hours or until firm.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

- Use espresso powder for intense coffee flavor.
- Serve with chocolate shavings, caramel, or as affogato!
- Keeps in freezer for up to 2 weeks.
