Ingredients
  

  • For the Base:
  • - 4 ripe bananas sliced
  • - ½ cup granulated sugar
  • - ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • - 1 cup milk
For the Topping:
  • - ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • - ½ cup self-rising flour
  • - ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened

Equipment

  • - Medium baking dish (8x8 or 9x9 inch)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
  2. Layer sliced bananas evenly across bottom of dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk. Pour over bananas.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, and softened butter until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over banana mixture.
  5. Bake 40–45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  6. Serve warm with ice cream or cream.
